1. Introduction
Latent Roll is a mobile application that allows users to create and participate in shared disposable camera experiences. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information — name and email address when you sign in with Apple or Google
- Photos — images you take within the app are uploaded to our servers temporarily
- Location data — we use your device location to detect nearby active rolls via geofencing
- Device token — used to send push notifications about roll reveals
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core service — creating rolls, joining rolls, revealing photos
- To send push notifications when your roll is ready
- To detect your proximity to active venue rolls
- Photos are automatically deleted after the expiry period set by the roll creator
4. Data Retention
- Photos are temporary and deleted automatically after the creator-defined expiry period (between 1-72 hours after reveal)
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time directly within the app (tap your profile icon → Delete Account). This immediately and permanently removes your account, personal library, and any events you created. Photos you contributed to other people's shared events remain part of those events.
